My question always has been: “If education is a fundamental right, then why are so many children out of school and why in Government schools they are not getting the education they need to progress?”
Nanhe Panchhi Foundation was set up on the fundamentals of equal opportunities for all children and on the values of growth, compassion and love. We are established in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan and our work is in the most deprived sections in the slums.
The journey has been an interesting one, like many educational non-profits we made our way from park to school. In the pandemic, the inequalities in society was very apparent and in those unprecedented times – these children had no security and were dropping out of school.
I started teaching some children in a park feeling very disturbed by the situation and gradually the number of children rose from 5 to 100. People in the park felt encouraged and some of my friends came in for support too. This initiative soon became an organisation with people of same mind-set trying in the lives of these children and to make a positive difference in the society and
Our focus is holistic development of our children and we do a number of activities to ensure that.
